Retired Products Service Program
Ariba will continue to support previous versions for a limited time. The important dates and timeframes affecting your existing support are listed below.
June 30, 2009: Support for products that are superseded by version 9r1 will be reduced from full Technical Support Services (TSS) to Retired Product Service Program (RPSP) through your next renewal date.
Dec 31, 2010:This is the End of Life date for the products that are superseded by 9r1. Ariba has no plans to provide support of any kind beyond this date.
June 30, 2009 – Dec 31, 2010: Customers may optionally extend the RPSP level of support past their renewal date through Dec 31, 2010 (additional fees may apply).

Summary of Support and Upgrade Timeframes
Upgrade project duration has averaged 6 months, with a range of 3-9 months. Based on End of Support dates and our experience, upgrades to 9r1 should begin no later than June 2010 in order to be completed by Dec 31, 2010 and also ensure continuity of support.
